Explanation of New Class Designations:  Diamond designations are for students that study 5 or more hours per week.  Your most advanced students.
Emerald designations are for students that study 3-5 hours per week (NOT dance subject).  They are your intermediate students.
Ruby designations are for students that study less than 3 hours per week (NOT dance subject).

They are your more recreational dancers.  Class placement is the responsibility of the teacher.  It is acceptable to register students in the group that you deem appropriate.  Please remember that the organization may ask the sponsoring teacher to change a student’s placement based on their class performance.  Also, please remember that this year’s PAC will have similar categories and students’ class and competition placements must be consistent or they must compete in a category higher than their workshop class participation (i.e. if they take Emerald classes they should not compete at Ruby level).
